Challenge

Our client asked us to transform Bahrain Marina into an international lifestyle destination, which involved replacing the oldest yacht club in the GCC region. We needed to protect the marina’s heritage while creating a new legacy and iconic sense of place for the waterfront. 

Solution

To blend old with new, our design took inspiration from the traditional Bahraini dhow sailing boat. This framework enabled us to use the clean lines and angular shapes characterised in contemporary and luxurious architecture.
